shocking prices

So, grandmother has purchased a ticket to Brazil.  I was scanning prices on the net.  With a four bag limit lets not bring something that can be bought here for the same price.  Well, I was quite shocked.  First of all Brazil has normally high prices and normally high inflation that is increased monthly.  The inflation shocks you and you feel it.  The price tags shock you.  C-A-M-P-I-N-A-S is expensive period.

SO I was shocked at some cheap prices.  Well, US prices.  Of course the value is in dollar and we have real, so it still hurts.  But I couldn't believe the price.

For a jeep react umbrella stroller, which I am transitioning into from my big bulky travel set is about the same price.  So the price went up in the US, was about a flat 50 bucks.  Now, the react is 75 bucks.  With converting to reals, that would be 150.  Plus, if my mom got stopped at the airport 75 heals for taxes.  And lets not forget shipping, we still haven't confirmed if it would be free to take it or not.  The website says not, while the airport says why not?  So, could be another 100 bucks.  Reality, 200 heals.  So that's 425 heals for the stroller.  It's like 404 reals right now on the casa bahia website.

There was a lot of stuff like cameras, tv and cell phones for the same price in the US.

But we still have a shocker when it comes to apple products.  Way over priced.  Plus tons of other things,  like most of the other baby gear and clothes. However, it looks like there is hope after all to get some of the stuff you want for a similar price.
